Cedar Creek Church has five locations in the Toledo Metro area to meet the needs of its growing congregation.
In 2017, Cedar Creek Church upgraded the interior and exterior lighting at three of its Toledo locations with a focus on lowering energy consumption and reducing the associated maintenance costs and upkeep.
Wholesale Lighting was able to find the best possible LED replacement lamps for the existing fixtures. For the building interiors, Wholesale Lighting selected high quality T8 and T5HO LED tubes to replace the existing linear fluorescent tubes. These LED replacements not only lowered the energy consumption by half, but also will greatly reduce the maintenance costs of the lighting for many years into the future by eliminating the labor of relamping the fixtures and replacing the fluorescent ballasts. For the parking lots, Wholesale Lighting selected an innovative expandable LED corncob lamp which fit into the existing pole mounted light fixtures. These expandable corncobs provide better light distribution from the parking lot flood fixtures than a standard LED corncob replacement lamp would have in that position. Even when an unforeseen snag occurred during the deployment of the LED T5HO replacement tubes, Wholesale Lighting was able to work with the church’s maintenance staff to quickly resolve the problem. Wholesale Lighting assisted Cedar Creek Church with applications for First Energy’s Energy Save Ohio rebate program for LED lighting replacements. This lighting rebate program is available to commercial power customers of Toledo Edison and Ohio Edison. The rebate incentive available through this program covered about half of the material cost of the lighting upgrades.
